OUR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR YOUR EXCURSION

Take time to reconnoitre the island. With a hire car, you can move around freely, and drive along the narrow mountain roads through the stunning Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. Visit one of the famous mountain villages like Valldemossa or Banyalbufar, or the town of Soller and Port de Soller on the island’s west coast. From there, you can get on the mountain roads to the Gate to Paradise, „Torrent de Pareis“ on the bay of Sa Calobra.

Proceeding northwards, you reach Cap de Formentor via Port de Pollenca, where you can delight in the view over the open sea from the high cliffs 232 metres above sea level. Further to the south-east from Alcudia, via the old town of Arta, you access the holiday resort of Cala Ratjada, at Mallorca’s easterly tip. Travelling south from there, past the numerous holiday spots, you reach the town of Porto Cristo, where you can take the opportunity of marvelling at the antiquity and beauty of times long past in the Dragon Caves.

From Porto Cristo, we recommend you drive inland to Manacor, and onwards to Felanitx, to admire the monastery of Santuari de Sant Salvador, at a height of 509 metres. Continuing southwards through the town of Santanyi, you reach Cala Llombards, located on one of the most beautiful marine bays on the Spanish Mediterranean island of Mallorca. Driving from Santanyi via Llucmajor, you return to Sa Torre. Don’t miss the chance of taking a shopping stroll in the towns. Bootsausflug The best boat excursions

A long drive in a hot hire car is not an attractive proposition in midsummer. What’s more, the quietest spots on Mallorca are not exactly easy to reach. Luckily, there is a wide choice of boat trips in the high season. It is possible to access hidden beaches in the larger bays, or sail along the coast in a glass-bottomed boat. In addition, certain excursions have become real classics, like island hopping to pre-provisioned islets, isolated bays, or visiting far-away dream beaches.
